***********************************************************************
This is the 'MYOLP.TXT' file created by Olprint
when ever you do a 'WRITE' command.
Load this into Olprint and have fun. :)
Well here you see a sample of what Olprint can do.
You can play with this file to get a feel for the features available to
you in Olprint.
I have added other messages from my favorite local BBS.
Olprint will let you create and load this file for viewing and
printing but will not let you write it to disk as it would make no sense
to over write the same file with the same file.
Nor can you PARSE it.
So play around with it and have fun.
You can't mess anything up but if you haven't run the SETUPOLP.EXE
program then please exit Olprint now and run it as it is needed.
It won't take but a couple of seconds.
Thanks
Much
and
Enjoy!

Howdy Colin... :)
Seems to me you need a program already written to handle your stuff in
a dignified way.
I just happen to know of one. (if you use SLMR or OLX)
It will be released to the public on December 4th, 1995.
You will be able to pick it up first hand from the author at....
AMBROSIA BBS
714-771-6597 Orange California
1200-28.8 baud
The name of the program is OLPRINT which is short for ...
Offline Message Printer. Version 3.01
Last release version was 2.1 The difference between the two versions is
night and day.
It does some really neat things with your saved messages and allows you
to archive it all.
It is fast and easy and it can plug right in to your mail reader with no
headaches or run it by its self.
I would love to go into more detail but it would take up too much space.
Oh yea..... Runs on PC/XT thru 486
Monitor CGA-SVGA
Takes up less than 390k on the hard drive.
If you save or want to save messages then this program is for you!
Just thought I'd let ya know..... :)

Hints On Uploading ANSI Into Messages:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
To load any ANSI screen put it into THE DRAW --or any other
ANSI-making program that will allow you to 'SAVE' the screen at 70
characters-per-line (rather than the default of 255). Most message
bases will NOT allow upload of more than 72 characters per line --no
matter WHAT the characters consist of. Thus your ANSI screen will come
through garbled by word-wrap.
Then take the ANSI screen saved at 70 and "import" it into your
off-line mail reader. SLMR or OLX uses the command ALT R to load a
"text" file. An ANSI screen will load just like a text file, as long
as it's saved at 70.
If you want the art to display automatically on SLMR, OLX, or
many other common mail readers, just put the word [aNSIART] in the
top, left corner... ALL CAPS...
ANSI uploaded through an offline mail-reader WILL NOT display
properly when read online.

not sure, but i think it would be a fiber optic line running from your
home to their server. The difference in a copper telephone line and a
fiber optic cable is the key. the difference in bandwidth is like a
thousand to one.
TCI is currently installing these cables to all the schools in our area.
this will let them connect to each other and to the internet. wish i

If that BBS has email capabilities, it can be done. You'll have
to contact that particular BBS and ask the sysop if he or she handles
Internet email. If that is an option, expect to pay for it.

Poor Guy, I truly feel sorry for you. What you are going to need is a
csu/dsu a router and a connection to the Internet ranging from a 128k
connect on up, and unix or one of its Varients. I suggest Free BSD
which you can Ftp from cdrom.com and a server

This happens to me sometimes. I use a file finder program and
search for '*.zip' to find all zip files on my local drive. The MOZ
files are the graphics files that Netscape will use next time you
access the internet site. It will get the graphic from your cache
instead of getting it from the site again. MUCH FASTER.

I've seen a shareware program out there which lets you keep a record of
all the sites you've been to on the Internet. I believe it's called
"Internet Book", or something along those lines. If I remember
correctly you can put WWW, FTP, Gopher, and just about any site you want
in it.
I hope this helps.

What com prort did your 14.4 set on and is it still there. If you have a new
i/o card it should have 16550s on it. Did you disable the

problem. Let me know when you have more info on It and I

Sounds like there's a WIN-OS/2 session in the background.
If you manage to kill that and restart WIN-OS/2 everything
should be fine.
If this happens even after you restart OS/2, edit your config.sys so that
there's a line which says 'SET
RESTARTOBJECTS=STARTUPFOLDERSONLY'. This should stop the
misbehaving WIN-OS/2 session from restarting.
DL> I am using boot manager, so I can and did load up some

Supposedly no. I do this all the time.
By the way, this is supposed to be the DOS discussion area, not OS/2.
